The ASEAN Studies website of the ASEAN University Network is aimed at providing source materials for educational institutions that will offer courses - whether through degree or non-degree programs - in ASEAN affairs. It is a contribution to efforts to promote awareness and understanding of the history, as well as the economic, functional, and cultural activities and external relations of ASEAN as an organization.

     The first project of AUN's ASEAN Studies program is the development of syllabi. Different content specialists from various ASEAN member-states have been commissioned to write syllabi for the following courses: (a) Economic Cooperation, (b) Functional Cooperation, (c) Regionalism and Regional Organization, (d) Institutional Structure and Decision Making, (e) Political and Security Cooperation and (f) External Relations.

     These syllabi take into consideration the political and economic environment of ASEAN and include the latest publications and documents on their respective subjects.
